Today we are covering one of the most decorated active footballers in the world! He has won 31 trophies throughout his career and in the last four decades he has scored over 500 club goals, 570 career goals and is worth about $190 million. Yes, you’re right, we are talking about the infamous Zlatan Ibrahimović! You probably know Zlatan as the Swedish footballer that plays for Serie A club AC Milan. If you’re not familiar with his football skills then you’ll definitely be familiar with his luscious, long hair.

In this article we shall be breaking down how you funky fellas can get the Zlatan Ibrahimović haircut along with two Ibrahimović-approved ways of styling it! This is the perfect haircut for you fellas that like to keep things long. Don’t forget that even though Zlatan has straight hair this style can work for all hair textures! These two styles will refresh your hair and give it that oomph! To quote the Swede:

    “It has to be Zlatan-style.”

The haircut is pretty simple and works for both of the hairstyles we are going to be showing you today. First, you need to have long hair to pull off these looks. We recommend that you grow it out just a little longer than shoulder length. When it comes to long hair it’s up to you whether you want to go to your usual barber or head to a unisex salon that most likely has more experience with cutting long hair.

Ask your stylist for a soft scissor, shoulder length haircut. This is done by cutting into the hair instead of across to create softer and more natural edges instead of a blunt cut. Next, clip the hair up off the face and neck and use the clippers to buzz down the sideburns and any straggling hairs at the base of the neck. This will keep the look neat and professional when you tie up your hair.

    Hairstyle 1: The Man Bun

The man bun is a staple for the long-haired man. It is the quick and easy way of taming your mane when you’re on the go and one of the best go-to styles for any long-haired footballers needing to last through 90minutes of game play.

    How to Style:

    • For the best results wash your hair with our nourishing Natural Shampoo. This will give you hair that clean, silky texture that Zlatan has.
    • Towel dry your hair until it is damp but not dripping. Then it is time to go in with some hair cream. apply a pea-sized amount of our Funky Flex Cream to give your hair a good medium-hold. This will give you the ability to shape and reshape your hair throughout the day as well as adding a subtle, natural looking shine. Hair cream is light so works perfectly with these longer hairstyles as it doesn’t weigh the hair down.
    • Now you will need a hairdryer and brush. Blow dry your hair on a medium heat whilst brushing your hair back off your face. Do this until the hair is dry. Tying up long, wet hair in a bun can cause the hair to break and could end up leaving you with your worst nightmare… a bald spot!
    • Grab you bobble and tie your hair up high on your head before twisting it into a bun. Fasten your bobble in place and your bun is complete!
    • If you find you have some troubling frizzy hair after the heat don’t worry! Rub any leftover styling cream into your hair and those flyway’s will be a quick fix without your looking greasy.

    Hairstyle 2: The Viking Braid

This style is for the fellas that like to go that extra mile when it comes to styling their hair. The look is perfect for taming that long, wild hair and keeping it out of your face for days. The perfect hairstyle for the busy man with plenty of character.

    How to Style:

    • For this look you want to start with clean, damp hair. Add a little of our Funky Flex Cream to your hair, applying from root to tip. This will help your hair keep it’s hold and deliver that shiny finish.
    • Now it’s time to create your braid – if you don’t feel confident with braiding your own hair you can always ask your partner, sister, mother, or the stylist to do it for you when you go to get your haircut!  This braid that Zlatan is wearing is called a Dutch braid. To start, brush your hair straight back and gather a section from the hairline.
    • Split the hair you have gathered into 3 equal strands. Start braiding your hair in a standard braid – remember for this braid you want to bring the outer strands under the middle strand.
    • Pick up more hair as you go and add it to the strands while you are braiding. This will make your braid thicker. Keep going in this fashion till you run out of hair and then secure it with a bobble.
    • Finally rub any leftover Funky Flex Cream over your hair to control frizz and leave you with a smooth looking Viking braid!
